    The only thing that I don’t like about Traditional Jiu Jitsu is that they don’t participate in tournaments like BJJ. People really don’t get to see how effective it is one way or the other.

    These individuals you see were students of the legendary Grand Master Dr. Moses Powell and his system he founded called Sanuces Jujitsu. Dr. Powell was the student of Professor Florendo Vistacion who was from the Philippines. Sanuces has a Philippino vibe to it. That is what you’re picking up on.

    Judo, Akkido, and brazilian ju jitsu came from jujitsu so they look a like at times. Judo is based on throws and chokes, Akkido is based on locks,chokes, and throws in which you use the enemy energy against them, and brazilian jj is more based on ground work which was also injluence by vale tudo matches the gracies had in brazil. So things look alike but philosphy changes a lot.

    I have trained Aiki-Jitsu in the Philippines under Sensei Dhong Reynaldo (Grand Master) and this is exactly the same. I see no difference. Not sure if they do all the knife and gun toting and escrima also… Aiki-Jitsu does.

    sorry but this is mostly aikido and i should know because i do jiu jitsu, plus steven seagal is a 7th dan blackbelt in aikido and ive seen him do it and this definately looks like aikido,none of this stuff is jiu jitsu
