Muay Boran the bases of modern muay thai was spread by the buddhist monks of thailand. those buddhist comes came from china. but I wouldnt say its all based on chinese kung fu. muay boran was a mixture like chinese kung fu is a mixture of Chinese Indian, Tibetan martial arts.

now sanda/sanshou. … now sanda/sanshou. its modern rules were created a couple decades ago, but the term its self has been used for a very long time. it was used in describing open sparring. there was sanda training in many styles of kung fu. modern sanda is now a mixture of many different styles of kung fu in one. with a nice rule set that makes it competitive with the likes of muay thai and other kickboxing styles.
ok first off real … ok first off real kung fu is a whole lot more then some bald guys. if you want temple arts yes shaolin is one but there is also chen villages, and wudang temple. then there are all the chuan fa systems. all of which are “real kung fu”.
second mr history buff, wudang mountain kung fu actually predates shoalin by a good number of years. so there is a ton more places and styles then just some monks at one chinese temple.

Well never mind what I just say, I’ve saw this vid (Muay Thai vs TKD cage fight KO) and what can I say, it reveal the weakness of my art, muay thai have better technic in mid rang, that’s all. + many TKD fighter are afraid of muay thai boxer but check for sherkan yilmaz, that’s a true TKD/kickboxing figter (Cuan lee is good too, I know he is more kung-fu, but he have a 2th degree black belt in TKD too)
